The Brief
Rob had a 1-page html website that he was not updating – as he didn’t know how. The website was created many years ago and was created then so his customers can view some pictures of the motel and make contact. Some of the images were not appearing and no one was making any bookings anymore through the site. Rob wanted a new website that is more updated and will be easy for him to update. He will be providing us with the copy and images, and we will have to design and layout the information provided. Th aim of this project is to provide a useable platform for customers to get in contact with them to make a reservation.
Our Approach
We researched on other motels and found that most of them looked dated. We decided to give the motel’s a fresh look to increase the appeal of the accommodation. We created a single-page, long-scrolling website so all the information that he wanted to be consolidated onto one page. There will be menu items which will be scrolled through on that single page. The website does not have a lot of copy but has many pictures which speaks for itself.
The Result
The website, although it is simple, managed to deliver the right information to the right people online. The motel received more online enquiries and bookings than ever before, even though it is also listed on other accommodation booking sites. There is no further marketing done with the website and it managed to do well for the business.
